Greg Heanue was named VP-ad sales and consumer marketing at the Weather Channel, Atlanta. He shifts to the network from VP-marketing for BBC America, New York. Prior to that post, Mr. Heanue was senior director of marketing at Cartoon Network, where he helped launch Adult Swim.

Michael Houston joined WPP Group's Grey, New York, as exec VP-director of marketing, a newly created role, from MDC's Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners, where he was a partner and director of corporate development.

Wilton, Conn.-based Ryan iDirect hired David Shavrick as exec VP-creative director. He was formerly executive creative director at Ogilvy Interactive.

Turner Broadcasting's Cartoon Network named William Blair VP-ad sales, promotions and marketing. He'll be based in New York. Mr. Blair was previously VP-divisional partnerships at Time Warner Global Media Group.

Peter Moss will move to WPP Group's Ogilvy, New York, to serve as a group creative director. Mr. Moss, whose expertise is in developing mobile-marketing applications, previously was executive creative director at OgilvyOne, Singapore.

Interpublic Group of Cos.' DraftFCB brought on Neil Miller as chief financial officer. Mr. Miller, who will begin his new job Oct. 1, was most recently CFO for North America at Interpublic's McCann Erickson.
