Mr. Burwick, 40, had been senior vice president of marketing for carbonated soft drinks, trying to boost the country's No. 2 soft drink company with new products such as Pepsi Twist, Mountain Dew Code Red and Sierra Mist.
Separately, PepsiCo named Randy Melville, 43, to vice president of multiculturalism and strategic initiatives, from vice president and general manager of urban and ethnic marketing; Cie Nicholson, 38, to vice president of flavors, from vice president of Mountain Dew; and Katie Lacey, 36, to vice president of colas and media, from vice president of colas.
