Neil Budde Departs to Pursue Other Interests

NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- Neil Budde, publisher of Dow Jones & Co.'s The Wall Street Journal Online, is leaving his post to pursue other interests, the Online Journal reported Nov. 22.

Mr. Budde, 46, was responsible for launching the newspaper's online presence in 1996; the site has 664,000 subscribers as of Sept. 30, according to the Online Journal.

Mr. Budde, a veteran reporter and editor, came to Dow Jones in 1987 as an associate editor of Dow Jones News/Retrieval, which is now part of a Factiva and Reuters joint venture.
