CHICAGO (AdAge.com) -- Omnicom Group's Rapp Collins Worldwide, Dallas, today named a new chief creative officer for the advertising agency.

will be an executive vice president within the agency, was formerly group creative director at Publicis Groupe's D'Arcy Worldwide, Troy, Mich.

Mr. Macdonald will lead the 80-person creative department producing direct mail, broadcast, catalog, Web and e-messaging advertising for clients that include SBC Communications, Sony Corp.'s Sony PlayStation, DirecTV, Dell Computer and Hyatt Hotels.

Mr. Macdonald had held creative posts at Publicis & Hal Riney, San Francisco, Omnicom's BBDO Worldwide, New York and Los Angeles; Digitas, London; and WestWayne, Tampa and Atlanta.
