From 2005 to 2007, she was chief innovation officer at Citi, a role she originated to realize new-business opportunities. She previously spent 13 years with American Express Co.
Jonathan Axelrod was appointed chief operating officer of AECG, a newly created post. Mr. Axelrod is an award-winning TV and film producer whose previous posts include VP-senior executive of ABC-TV prime time, exec VP-worldwide production at Columbia Television and president of New World Pictures. AECG is a community of companies that provides products and services for the production industry.
Beth Ann Kaminkow was promoted to president and chief operating officer of TracyLocke. She had been chief talent officer since joining the agency in 2006 and president of the Wilton, Conn., office since 2007.
Gary Scheiner joined Rosetta in the newly created position of chief creative officer. Mr. Scheiner was most recently executive creative director of the WorldHealth unit of TBWA/Chiat/Day, New York, where he helped found the agency's consumer-health-care practice, which serves clients such as Pfizer and Schering-Plough. Mr. Scheiner also oversaw non-health-care accounts including Michelin, Cablevision and Majestic Steel, and spearheaded a multiyear initiative among the Ad Council, the U.S. Olympic Committee and Johnson & Johnson that resulted in a 2008 Ad Council Silver Bell Award and a 2009 Kelly Award.
Gary Wolfson was named exec VP-chief creative officer of Simons, Michelson, Zieve Advertising, Troy, Mich. Mr. Wolfson spent the past 12 years at Doner in Southfield, Mich., as exec VP-executive creative director, where he led brands such as BP, Chiquita, Sherwin-Williams, Pennzoil and the UPS Store. Before that, he was exec VP-chief creative officer at Ross Roy, where he oversaw brands including Chrysler, Kmart and Domino's Pizza.
Steve McGowan is returning to Discovery Channel as senior VP-research. He is leaving Nielsen Co., where he was senior VP-insights and client research initiatives. Before joining Nielsen in 2003, Mr. McGowan spent 13 years at Discovery Communications, where he directed the company's research.
David Coburn and Ken Gepfert, both veteran business journalists and senior PR counselors and strategists, were promoted to senior VP-public relations at Luquire George Andrews. Mr. Coburn has been at LGA for nearly five years, and his career has included stints at The Charlotte Observer and The San Diego Union-Tribune. Mr. Gepfert was with The Wall Street Journal for 13 years before joining LGA in 2007 and was a senior editor at The Charlotte Observer for seven years.
1Cast, a broadcast platform that delivers video news updates, named Jack Hallahan VP-global advertising sales. Mr. Hallahan was most recently VP-advertising and business development at MobiTV, where he was responsible for developing national advertising revenue via new products, tech innovations and strategic partnerships.
