Rochelle Newman-Carrasco has joined Walton/Isaacson to lead the agency's Hispanic-marketing division. She will be based in the Los Angeles office. Her initial assignment will be with Lexus, but she will be charged with bolstering the agency's Hispanic-marketing practice across all client accounts, as well as acquiring new business within the Hispanic category. Ms. Newman-Carrasco founded Enlace Communications, a marketing-communications agency targeting the Hispanic market. She also led efforts on the P&G business as president of Grey Advertising's Hispanic division.
Joe Meyer, former VP-general manager for AOL's Quigo Technologies, has been named president-CEO of online city-transit guide HopStop. At Quigo, Mr. Meyer was responsible for managing partnerships with hundreds of online publishers within the Quigo AdSonar ad network and was also responsible for all white-label ad sales. Before that he was an entrepreneur-in-residence for Diamondhead Ventures, an early-stage venture-capital firm.
Marc Blumberg was promoted to president of IMC Squared from exec VP. He is a co-founder of the brand-engagement agency, whose clients include Diet Coke, Pfizer, Pizza Hut, Blockbuster and GlaxoSmithKline. Former President Doug Levy will serve as CEO.
Bill Jennings has joined Good Health Advertising as CEO. Mr. Jennings most recently served as chief revenue officer at Mobile Posse and Lightning Cast. Before that, he was VP at A&E Television Networks. Good Health Advertising is an interactive-ad-sales network focused on health and "condition-specific" sites.
Jose Tolosa, VP-strategy and business development for MTV Networks Latin America, has been promoted to senior VP-strategy and business development and will expand his role to include MTV Networks International. In this position, he will be responsible for overall strategy and business development across all of MTVNI's brands globally. Before joining MTVN Latin America in 2008, Mr. Tolosa was chief operating officer at the Hispanic National Mortgage Association Funding Co.
Lisa Ryan Howard was appointed senior VP-chief revenue officer of Fairchild Fashion Group. Ms. Howard is leaving her position as VP-multimedia for Conde Nast Media Group, where she oversaw digital integration and strategic multimedia sales and marketing. Before that, Ms. Howard was VP-publisher of Style.com and Men.Style.com at CondeNet. In 2007, Ms. Howard was named to Ad Age's 40 Under 40 list.
Yahoo tapped Penny Baldwin as senior VP-global integrated marketing and brand management, a newly created position. Ms. Baldwin, a 20-year veteran of global brand-strategy development and execution, most recently served as managing partner of Young & Rubicam Brands, Y&R Advertising and Wunderman Direct Marketing.
DraftFCB, San Francisco, announced two promotions: Colin McRae and Tony Vazquez have both been elevated to senior VP-creative director from VP. Mr. McRae joined the agency in 2005 after beginning his career at OWNP, San Francisco. Mr. Vazquez came to Draft in 2001 following positions at Poppe Tyson and Bozell Worldwide.
