NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- Charles Schwab & Co., in the midst of a search for a chief marketing officer, said its senior advertising executive has resigned effective at the end of the month.

Jack Calhoun, senior vice president of advertising and brand management, joined Schwab in 2000 from WPP Group's Y&R Advertising, San Francisco, where he had been general manager.

Schwab Vice President of Advertising Peter Deluca succeeds Mr. Calhoun on an interim basis.

Scwab last month broke a campaign from Omnicom Group's GSD&M, Austin, the agency's first work since winning the account in April.
