SapientNitro names Marcelo Sant'lago VP-business development for Latin America. Mr. Sant'lago brings more than two decades of experience creating growth opportunities for top-tier brands in Latin America. Prior to joining SapientNitro, he served as managing partner at MBreak Comunicacao. He also served as general manager of MidiaClick. Mr. Sant'lago will be responsible for leading the agency's growth across Latin America, including new business and expanding SapientNitro's existing global accounts.
Jared Shapiro was appointed editor-in-chief of Ocean Drive magazine. In his new position, Mr. Shapiro will shape the editorial and creative content of the magazine while expanding its stable of celebrated contributors. Abe Taha was named BlueKai's VP-data science and engineering. In this new role, Mr. Taha becomes the company's first "data quant," where he will be responsible for developing the strategy and infrastructure that manages the flow of audience intelligence and information through BlueKai's Data Activation System. He had previously served as VP-engineering at Karmasphere, where he oversaw product development and engineering for all product lines. He also held positions at Ask.com and Ning.
Sarah LaBrache and Anne de Vega have been promoted to VP-CBS on-air promotion. In their new positions, Ms. LaBrache and Ms. De Vega will continue to create and implement promotional strategies for CBS's top dramas while overseeing multiple CBS network image campaigns. Ms. LaBrache joined CBS in 1997 as an assistant before being promoted to post production supervisor. She is a Promax Ambassador and is the beneficiary of multiple of Promax Awards. Ms. De Vega joined CBS in 2002 as a promotion producer at CBS-owned stations. She joined the CBS as a writer/producer in 1996, was promoted to senior writer/producer in 2003 and executive producer in 2007.
