TBWA NAMES WORLDWIDE CREATIVE DIRECTOR

John Hunt Will Also Oversee New York Office

SAN FRANCISCO (AdAge.com) -- Omnicom Group's TBWA Worldwide today named John Hunt worldwide creative director.

Mr. Hunt, 48, was founder of South African agency TBWAHunt Lascaris. He will report to Lee Clow, chairman and chief creative officer of TWBA Worldwide. Mr. Hunt moves to New York in April and will oversee the TBWA/Chiat/Day office there, an agency spokesman said.

At the same time, TBWA announced that Reg Lascaris, 55, a co-founder of the South African shop, will add responsibility for "expanding the strategic thinking of the network, particularly with regard the network's business model on a worldwide basis, increasing the network's group offering," TBWA said in a statement.

Chuck McBride, executive creative director for North America, TBWA/Chiat/Day, who had been overseeing creative in New York, will now take responsibility only for the West Coast offices in Playa del Rey, Calif., and San Francisco. Mr. McBride will report to Mr. Clow.
