Free-PC, Pasadena, Calif., gave details of its charter advertiser program, tied to its shipment of 10,000 free PCs in May. The 90-day program is open to 200 advertisers, which will be able to test the effectiveness of ads displayed on the free desktop PCs. Free-PC is guaranteeing advertisers, which are under no obligation to advertise after the trial phase, 1 million impressions during the period. The trial charge is a flat rate of $10,000. spots feature live auction TV spots, designed by interactive agency Digital Pulp, New York, will air during Ziff-Davis' ZDTV shows beginning today.

During the spots, the auction site of,, will air live on ZDTV, featuring discounted software and hardware products. The ads will reach ZDTV's audience of 10 million households nationwide.
