FREE-PC CHARGES CHARTER ADVERTISERS $10,000

Free-PC, Pasadena, Calif., gave details of its charter advertiser program, tied to its shipment of 10,000 free PCs in May. The 90-day program is open to 200 advertisers, which will be able to test the effectiveness of ads displayed on the free desktop PCs. Free-PC is guaranteeing advertisers, which are under no obligation to advertise after the trial phase, 1 million impressions during the period. The trial charge is a flat rate of $10,000.

Egghead.com spots feature live auction

Egghead.com TV spots, designed by interactive agency Digital Pulp, New York, will air during Ziff-Davis' ZDTV shows beginning today.

During the spots, the auction site of Egghead.com, Surplus-auction.com, will air live on ZDTV, featuring discounted software and hardware products. The ads will reach ZDTV's audience of 10 million households nationwide.
