Illinois Lottery and Ticketmaster today break a direct mail campaign as part of their integrated "Instant Access" promotional push. The partnership represents the first time a lottery has worked with Ticketmaster on a joint program. FCB Direct, Chicago, handles the direct effort, while sister agencies Foote, Cone & Belding and sales promotion division Impact concentrate of other elements, including Internet, outdoor, point of purchase, print and radio. "Instant Access" offers gift certificates for events and concerts, as well as a sweepstakes.

Communicomp, a Fort Lauderdale, Fla., direct marketing shop, is joining the Promotion Services Group of True North Diversified Cos. Carol Nelson remains president-executive creative director of Communicomp, which was previously a standalone unit.
