Tuna ad hooks int'l award

Published on .

Grand Prix for print at this year's London International Advertising Awards will go tonight to a billboard ad created by Leo Burnett, London, for John West Tuna. In the ad, a fishing line bobs in what appears to be a gently rippling pond but is in reality the lid of a tuna can. Copywriter: Julie Adams. Art director: Richard Connor. Grand Prix for TV goes to this year's creative darling, Anheuser-Busch's "Whassup?!" campaign for Budweiser, via DDB Worldwide, Chicago. For Web sites, the Grand Prix is being awarded to Volkswagen of America's turbonium.com site backing the new Beetle. Arnold Worldwide, Boston, designed the site.
