Brazil's Havaianas flip-flops (pronounced ah-vai-YAH-nas and named for Hawaii) are exporting their advertising as well as the soft rubber footwear. This print ad from Havaianas' longtime agency Almap BBDO, Sao Paulo, is running in Australian magazines. A snake's eye peers out from between snakeskin flip-flops with taglines like "Once again the snake leads man into sin" and "Bitten by fashion bug? Rush to the hospital."
