Can a squirrel help save your immortal soul?

The United Church of Canada has unveiled a site called WonderCafe, designed to let interested parties openly discuss tough theological topics. It features a number of print ads that touch on issues such as gay marriage, sinful sex, Jesus vs. Santa Claus and whether or not a bobble-head Jesus is a ticket straight to hell. But perhaps the best part of the site is the EZ Answer Squirrel, a video segment in which a squirrel answers theological questions. "We wanted people to recognize [United Church members] do have humor, they can laugh at themselves," Malcolm Roberts, the creative director for ad firm Smith Roberts & Co., told CTV.

About that Domino's Brooklyn Style Pizza

So Domino's Pizza began running ads last week for something called Brooklyn Style Pizza. The New York Times offers up a nice, crusty slice of "No Dice, Domino's." Best line from the piece: "We purchased our Domino's pie just a few blocks away from Totonno's on Neptune Avenue. That it was handed to us over bulletproof glass turned out to be the most authentically Brooklyn part about it." Marty Markowitz, the Brooklyn borough president, tells the Times: "To our sophisticated palates, Domino's is about as Brooklyn as Sara Lee Cheesecake is Junior's."
