BOOKS: Celebrity Portraiture From the Corbis Outline Collection
Published on .
New from Teneues Publishing Group is One2one, a $55 hardcover with 78 photographs and text in four languages, featuring images from the Corbis Outline portraiture collection. Indeed, the book is a part of the 25th anniversary celebration of Corbis Outline, and it's written and edited by Corbis Outline staffers, CD Elodie Mailliet and VP William Hannigan. Hannigan, in his introduction, calls the book "a testament to what happens when a photographer is granted creative freedom," as well as "an illustration of the trust shared among all parties who must come together to create the image of an icon." Seen here is the cover, featuring Bill Clinton (photographed by Martin Schoeller), Nicole Kidman (James White), Salma Hayek (Matthew Rolston) and Drew Barrymore (Mark Seliger). In the PDF are Naomi Watts (by Ben Watts, her brother — talk about trust), George Clooney (Sam Jones) and Charlize Theron (Andrew Macpherson). See www.teneues.de and www.corbis.com/outline for more.
