BOOKS: Dot Dot Dot Crunches the Numbers

Published on .

From Dot Dot Dot 9
The ninth edition of Dot Dot Dot, the wide-ranging journal of visual culture edited by Stuart Bailey and Peter Bilak, is now available from Princeton Architectural Press, and this issue's theme is "Elementary Mathematics." So the fellas cleverly decided to list all their debts on the back cover, while the front cover features a bizarre proposal for doing the page numbers in hexadecimal notation. Among the array of design ruminations inside are articles on the history of film studio logos, the album art of Stereolab, and the vanguard 1960s Polish Women's League magazine Ty i Ja, some of whose covers are seen in this PDF showcase.
