Tonight, 6-9 p.m. at the Corbis 902 Gallery, 902 Broadway in New York, is the opening of a show featuring the work of Corbis photographer Dimitri Daniloff, who was showcased here not long ago for his series of award-winning PS2 ads from TBWA/Paris. The showcase seen here includes, in addition to ads for Armand Bassi (the butterfly man), Nike and Absolut, a heavily post-produced series, in typical Daniloff style, of shots from a fashion series called "Spleen," found in the current issue of Style and The Family Tunes magazine, though it amounts to personal work. "The magazine didn't give me any directions, the concept is mine," says Daniloff. "The story is about a state of mind, a dark spirit finding peacefulness. At the beginning, the picture is covered with black lines and as it goes forward the lines give way to a white circle." See for more.
