Fonts.com Gets Monstrous

Published on .

The Font is Out There.
Agfa Monotype's Fonts.com gets an interesting in-house Loch Ness riff from Johnathan Zsittnik, who handled the concept, design and copy all by his lonesome, causing him to wonder, "Who says you need to hire an agency to get creative?" The image that mimics the famous photo, he explains, "was created from scratch. I blew up a picture I took on a New England whale watch, added some blur and ran a grain filter. The copy in the ad is true: The 'fontster' was created using a letter 'f' from our own Monotype Sabon Semi Bold Italic." OK, Zsittnik, what can you do with a Sasquatch?
