PAPER PROMOTIONS: Fox River's Art of Marian Bantjes
Published on .
Fox River Paper's Sundance line is showcased in a mini portfolio, the first in a Fox River series on emerging talents, of the work of Vancouver-based designer/typographer Marian Bantjes. The 36-page, perfect-bound booklet is curated and designed by Rick Valicenti and Gina Vieceli-Garza of Chicago's Thirst. Valicenti says Bantjes' "form-making resonates with the spirit of the moment," while Sagmeister Inc.'s Stefan Sagmeister has hailed her as "one of the most innovative typographers working today — she understands how to create historical sense in the present and onward into the future." The booklet also features a conversation between Valicenti and Bantjes as well as an essay by the latter. See FoxRiverPaper.com and Bantjes.com for more.
