The Ultra-Feminine Look
In a veritable retro-chic freakout in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Ann Taylor — or, as the company likes to call it, the 50th ANNiversary — comes the "I Am Ann Taylor" print campaign, shot by none other than Annie Leibovitz, along with the www.IAmAnnTaylor.com website. The ads feature "icons of the modeling industry as well as emerging names from every generation and background, to illustrate the evolution of the brand," according to the company. Just a few of the slew of models in the series, pictured here are the hugely pregnant Hunter Reno (remember when this was outrageous?) and daughter Ella; Cheryl Tiegs; Heather Marks; Twiggy; Patti Hansen's daughters Alexandra and Theodora Richards; and Lisa Gant. Everyone wears the "ultra-feminine looks from the fall 2004 collection, which has a renewed focus on sportswear classics." The campaign also introduces a redrawn logo, "which expresses both the heritage and the modernity of the brand." Design and production is handled in-house under the direction of CD Robert Lussier.
