THE SPEC DECK: When Breakfast Gets Looney

Published on .

At Leo, Not Grrrreat
Dave Kuhl (davek803@yahoo.com), a copywriter at Frankel in Chicago, wrote and art directed a colorfully bizarre spec campaign for the Cartoon Network, in which Looney Tunes characters interact with breakfast cereal characters. "I actually showed this campaign during an interview I had at Leo Burnett a while back," says Kuhl. "They had a good laugh at their precious Tony the Tiger. I didn't get the job, though. Maybe cartoon violence is a bad thing after all." Got a spec campaign you want to flaunt? Send it to terryk@crain.com today!
