Let's call it the persistence of photographic memory: In honor of the centennial of Salvador Dali's birth, Werner Bokelberg's image archive, www.bokelberg.com
, is giving away five Bokelberg portraits of Dali, signed by the photographer. It turns out Bokelberg and Dali have a bit of a history together; in June 1965, Bokelberg spent eight crazy days, camera in hand, with Dali, and the lavishly mustachioed great one later photo-collaged Bokelberg's images and added ink strokes, the collaboration resulting in a book called DaDaDali
, originaly published in 1966, and rereleased last year by Kerber Verlag (see www.kerberverlag.com
). To be eligible to win a portrait, one must register at Bokelberg.com (it's free and entitles users to layout downloads and lightbox privileges). Some pages from the book are seen here.
