Veer (www.veer.com) has announced that it has been named the sole North American reseller of the CSA Archive, CSA Plastock, CSA Printstock and CSA Snapstock rights-managed collections. The deal builds on a marketing and distribution agreement signed in 2002, in which Veer was appointed the exclusive reseller of royalty-free illustrations from CSA Images. Hence, Veer now offers creatives the complete range of stock images created by the Charles S. Anderson Design Company. Says Charles S. Anderson himself, "We'd been approached by many companies that wanted to represent CSA Images, but we chose Veer because of its overall vision, design sensibility and ability to present images in a manner that inspires creative potential, rather than undermining it." The images in the collection "have incredible appeal to designers, because they don't look like everyday stock," adds Veer CD Sheldon Popeil. Stock houses OnRequest Images (www.onrequestimages.com) and Photonica (www.photonica.com) announced an exclusive agreement that will provide Photonica customers with seamless access to OnRequest Images' Custom Stock service. Custom Stock, according to OnRequest, is a hybrid between purchasing stock imagery and hiring a photographer, providing high-quality custom photographs to spec in 48-72 hours, at a price comparable with conventional rights-managed stock imagery. "Photonica is well known for its commitment to helping bring the most creative ideas to life," says David Norris, CEO of OnRequest Images. "Our global network of over 1,700 photographers will be made available to 'shoot-on-demand,' adding a whole new dimension of service for Photonica customers." The OnRequest Images/Photonica partnership is expected to create a higher demand for the emerging field of "assignment stock" photography, claim the companies, providing many new opportunities for photographers around the world. Photonica will offer Custom Stock beginning next month, focusing initially on its North American customer base.
