Small but powerful is the best way to describe this A-Lister, which was runner up for this year's Palme D'Or at Cannes, thanks to the talent of founding directors Jim Jenkins and David Shane on hilarious spots for clients like FedEx, LandRover, HBO and Snickers.
The comedy continued in 2011, as Jenkins relayed more laughs for Snickers' "You're Not You When You're Hungry" campaign with "Party," featuring Joe Pesci and "Focus Group," starring some sharks with some very discerning tastes, for BBDO. Also for the agency Jenkins shot a round of spots for FedEx's "We Understand" campaign and "Flash Mob" for AT&T. For Super Bowl 2011, Jenkins also directed the relatable "Reply All," tapping into every office drone's worst fear – and working in the client, Bridgestone Tires, perfectly.
Comedy/dialogue expert David Shane kept Land Rover super funny with wonderful comic performances on "Pathological Liar" and "Dirty Cops," and continued work for ESPN Sports Center via Wieden + Kennedy. He carried on RPA'sUniversity of Farmers campaign for Farmers Insurance out of RPA and added to K-Y's intimate moments out of Mother, New York with Alex & Emma, the campaign's first lesbian couple.
Kenny Herzog, also known simply as "Kenny," also showed off his comedic chops with campaigns for Crunch Fitness. He also did work for Progresso, FedEx, M&Ms and McDonald's, the last one being the rather silly and spot-on commercial, "Fishing."
The five-person roster saw one directorial change this year – Pep Bosch left, while documentary filmmaker Peyton Wilson was added – and continued interesting and high profile work for Snickers, ESPN and FedEx, among others.
