Greenlees Joins Board of Directors

Consumer media company has appointed Michael Greenlees to its board of directors.

"Michael has an amazing track record as an entrepreneur building advertising businesses," said David Carson Heavy's co-CEO and co-founder, in a statement. "We met Michael when a number of financial institutions were doing diligence on the business during our last round, which was ultimately led by Polaris. [We] were so impressed with his take on the marketplace that we knew we had to solidify a relationship with him. Michael will have a tremendous impact for the company as we expand internationally."

Mr. Greenlees was one of the founding partners of British agency Gold Greenlees Trott. He was chairman and CEO of GGT Plc for more than 10 years until its sale to Omnicom in 1998 when he joined the Board of Omnicom and served as president & CEO of TBWA Worldwide. He also served as executive VP of Omnicom Inc. in 2001. Mr. Greenlees currently acts as a Special Advisor to General Atlantic (the private equity purchasers of AKQA), serves on the Board of Hewitt Associates and is a member of the Governing Council of Warwick University in England.
