New Title At Butler, Shine, Stern: Tech Strategist

By Published on .

Agencies have long had account executives, creative directors, media buyers and more recently account planners, but here's the latest title: Technology Strategist.

Butler, Shine, Stern & Partners, Sausalito, Calif., fresh from its launch of its first work for Priceline.com, has hired Bernard Meisler with the new title. What are the qualifications for the new post? Mr. Meisler arrived in California from MTV Networks in New York where he was Senior Web Developer and Technical Lead working primarily on the Nick and Nick Jr. franchises. He also has worked on a number of big brands, including Coke, Citibank and Sony Music.

CEO Greg Stern said Mr. Meisler will oversee the agency's building of proprietary technology solutions aimed at building brands in more measurable ways. Overall, the agency is positioning its interactive capabilities as a way of differentiating itself from other shops and eliminating outsourcing.
