Foo Fighters: We'll Get the 'Best of You' in Court, Marvel

Grammy-Winning Band Sues for Copyright Infringement

By Published on .

It was beginning to feel a little weird around here without a lawsuit for so long, but the Foo Fighters have risen to the occasion. And who's the offending corporate giant this time? Big tobacco? Big oil? Big Lots? No, it's a comic book company.

According to Rolling Stone, Dave Grohl's band is suing Marvel Universe for copyright infringement after portions of "Best of You" and "Free Me" were used in a (fairly long) trailer for the new animated series "Wolverine and X-Men." According to the Grammy-feted group, no one ever bothered to say "please," and now they're seeking unspecified damages. First Serve International, Toonz Animation India and First Serve Toonz were also named in the suit.
