As part of comedy writer -- and "Colbert Show" audience coordinator -- Mark Malkoff's ongoing web series, he invited Lisa Loeb to play a show for his wife. It also happened to be an in-store performance, because he pretty much moved into one of the mock-up apartments in the Paramus, NJ IKEA store to tape "Mark Lives in IKEA" while his apartment was being fumigated.
IKEA seems to like the free exposure, Mark builds upon his own "weblebrity" (he was the guy who visited all 171 Starbucks in Manhattan) and Lisa Loeb gets to promote her new double-album (!), "Purple Tape". And for just a few minutes, we get to forget about our empty TiVos during the writers strike.
