Payless Picks Songs We Didn't Know We Loved

New Ad Features The Flatmates

Maybe it's because their spots feel quicker than the Ugg-backlash and as cheaply made as a pair of Crocs, but few people have taken notice of Payless' music choices lately. Some of you may have recognized Pas/Cal or Rogue Wave from recent spots, but maybe the problem is really that they're just too good at picking the perfect song we haven't heard yet.

Today, Idolator has one that I haven't heard before: The Flatmates' bouncy-indie-pop number "Happy All the Time." Maura Wall loves the song but wonders who the shoe retailer is going for:
Why Payless has decided to aggressively go after the "intrigued by those Alice + Olivia designs, but wary of wearing white shoes before Memorial Day" demographic is beyond me, but hey, anything to liven up those Kitchen Nightmares reruns.
