Iggy Pop is selling insurance for Swiftcover in the UK. On the one hand, thelicensingplate asks, "Does he represent safety and security?" On the other, perhaps his endorsement as a presumed customer is intended to say "Heck, we're confident enough to insure Iggy Pop." Perhaps the most obvious is that some subset of disorganized consumers can say "Hey, if that guy can keep organized with online insurance services, so can I!" We're too dumbfounded to contemplate this any further.
Sort of unrelated: RIP rock legend Ron Asheton, guitarist for the Stooges and Pop's friend since high school, who died Tuesday.
