INSIDE LINE: Steeplechase taps SDF group for sponsor sales

National Steeplechase Association this month named SDF Management Group, New York, as its exclusive agency for sponsorship sales. The NSA annually promotes more than 30 steeplechase horse racing events, each attracting an average of 20,000 spectators, an increase of 27% over the past two years. Nine NSA events will be covered on ESPN or ESPN2 this year.

Raycom Sports and Silverman Media & Marketing Group are teaming up to form the Good Sports Group to jointly market top sports figures active in the community and in charities. The first four athletes are National Basketball Association player Tariq Abdul-Wahad, National Football League punter Sean Landeta, America's Cup sailor Dawn Riley and former Major League Baseball pitcher Tommy John.

National Football League is the exclusive sponsor of ESPN the Truck. The 53-foot mobile marketing vehicle is touring the U.S. this fall touting NFL Youth Football Programs, a series of football-theme initiatives benefiting young men and women.
