Twist: To drive awareness about its entertainment site showcasing short and feature length films, music, and videos, Media-Trip is taking its show on the road to 33 college campuses. On weekends, Media-Trip sets up an interactive display with contests and sweepstakes. Each stop includes an evening of film screenings and live music.
Vital statistics: Ford Motor Co. is sponsoring a contest online (mediatrip.com), giving aspiring filmmakers a script to complete; the winning script writer gets a $15,000 grant to produce a film, as well as a one-year lease on a Ford Focus. Two students will win free round-trip tickets on Southwest Airlines at each campus visited. The tour runs to May 3.
