WCW mat stars to pair up with monster trucks

Turner Broadcasting System's World Championship Wrestling signed a three-year deal with SFX Entertainment's Pace Motorsports to create new wrestling-theme monster trucks for Pace events. Also involved in the licensing agreement is 4Kids Entertainment, New York. The licensing deal will allow stars of WCW's wrestling programs to appear at Monster Jam events including "Motor Madness" telecasts on The Nashville Network. Monster trucks, in turn, will appear on some telecasts of wrestling programs including Turner Network Television's "Monday Night Nitro" and superstation TBS' "Thunder."

Discover Financial Services said it will become the first-ever title sponsor of a new shopping center through a 10-year marketing agreement with mall developer Mills Corp. Sugarloaf Mills, a 1.3 million-square-foot mall being built near Atlanta, will be renamed Discover Mills and will offer customers special perks for purchases made with the Discover Card, which will have its own storefront in the mall.

Emazing.com this month launched a seasonlong sponsorship of Nascar's Winston Cup Series. The general-interest Web site's name will appear on the hood of the No. 17 Ford Taurus; Emazing is cross-promoting its Nascar activities on its site.
