Converse "Future Originals"

Laverne and Shirley's theme song loses the schlimazel when interpreted for Converse, and with punk overtones and images of pint-sized plucky anti-heroes the song becomes an upbeat anthem for the nonconformist. Gritty and fun, the spot belongs equally to the band and the stars-most notably a Mick Jagger-in-training who practices in front of the mirror and a little girl in a homemade tutu-and without either just wouldn't be the same.

Specialized "Hans"

What better soundtrack than a polka for a jaunt through the Alps via bicycle? Bike company Specialized tries to track down Levi Leipheimer, a cyclist training for the Tour de France, for a word about their products, only to be ignored. He's too busy training, so the crew films a random Swiss man instead. It's a concept made funnier by the accordion-backed yodel, and using stock makes it authentic as well.

If you're going to make a spot about a guy dancing around his apartment, you damn well better have a good track for him to shake it to. Sound Lounge achieves success in "Loft," which shows a man dancing in the way that we do only in our homes when nobody's looking.
