Volvo "Crumpled"

A fleet of crumpled cars from Volvo's safety center receive new leases on life, courtesy of the effects work of BUF. Under the magical influence of steadily falling raindrops, shattered windshields and dented fenders begin to uncrumple, reverting to their undamaged states. As the sun emerges after the showers, the rejuvenating effect is finished off with the fading of the test vehicles' orange paint, revealing pristine models with showroom quality hues.

BMW "State of the Art"

Shapes and symmetry take center stage in this BMW spot, directed by renowned London-based photographer Marcus Tomlinson. Featuring the new 3Series Touring, the stylish spot takes full advantage of Tomlinson's photographic eye, employing crisp compositions, a strong emphasis on circles, a statuesque model and a split-screen motif that expertly captures the beauty of vehicular symmetry.

EA "Mech Warriors"

Motion Theory takes the idea of getting underneath someone's skin rather literally with their effects-laden spot for EA Sports' NBA Live 2006. The VFX studio also pulled double-duty by directing this videogame promo, which deconstructs basketball superstar Tracy McGrady into a sci-fi-inspired mechanical suit controlled from the inside by an average Joe gamer. Not a Rockets fan? Not a problem, as the gamer easily pops out of the McGrady-bot and hops into Heat star Dwayne Wade's high-tech sneakers.
