There are a lot of brands riding on Amanda Richman's shoulders. She's responsible for the digital initiatives of Procter & Gamble Co. in her role as senior VP-group director of strategy development and innovation at Publicis Groupe's MediaVest USA.

"You constantly have to evolve your approach and be very open to being challenged," says Ms. Richman, 39, who's brainstorming new pushes for about 70 P&G brands.

Joanne Bradford, VP-global sales and marketing and chief revenue officer at Microsoft, has worked with Ms. Richman on projects including an online film festival for Old Spice on MSN.

"She's a great problem solver," Ms. Bradford says, but can also look past crises and "see the bigger picture. That's rare in this world."
