The minute Becky O'Grady set foot in General Mills, she says, "I knew I was home."

The 37-year-old VP-marketing for Big G's biggest cereal franchises came to the food giant straight out of Northwestern . Before taking on her current role last June, Ms. O'Grady was VP-marketing for Progresso, integrating the brand after General Mills acquired it, and driving growth and share gains every year.

Peter Capell, president of Big G, says Ms. O'Grady "has a unique combination of skills that help drive her success," ranging from strong strategic reasoning to an "intuitive understanding of how to motivate consumers."
