Peter Blacker rides two speeding media segments-Hispanic and the internet. "They're like two rockets taking off," says the 36-year-old head of Telemundo's digital-media division.

"Peter is one of the reasons that this place has become so energized," says Don Browne, president of Telemundo Network.

One of Mr. Blacker's career goals is to "shatter the myth that there's a general market." Given the diversity of cities such as Los Angeles, Miami and New York, "I don't think that [concept is] a reality," he says.
