Stimulating creativity can be difficult, but the Kaplan Thaler has found a couple of ways to do it that it says also result in more collaboration and higher productivity: imposing shorter deadlines ("shrink the clock") and having fewer chairs in meeting rooms ("cramp your style").
Energy is everything at Kaplan Thaler. Maintaining a "power of nice" philosophy, the agency is more likely to dismiss a worker for rudeness than for a bad idea. "The people and culture are supportive, creative, hardworking," said one employee. "There are very few assholes here."
