There are no corner offices at Laughlin Constable.

Instead, the corners of its lofty new downtown Chicago space are occupied by 20 x 20 "courtyards" that host giant beanbag chairs, hammock swings, shuffleboard and ping-pong tables, and sprawling couches ... oh, and meetings.

The agency's executives sit out in the open with the rest of the 50 creatives and account people that make up the branch of this midsize independent agency, with a roster of clients that includes MasterLock and Kleenex.

The agency allows employees flexible work opportunities, including the ability to work the occasional day from home.
