Independent Tris3ct has been growing more than 50% for three consecutive years, not only in headcount but also in new business. The workforce has increased by 77% within the past year, with digital, multicultural and IT roles added to the teams. Clients Cottonelle and Kawasaki were joined by U.S. Cellular and ConAgra Foods.

Employees boast about the culture more than anything else at the Chicago-based agency, which is located just a few blocks from the United Center Stadium in the city's West Loop. "No one has an ego. ... There is an unwritten "no assholes allowed' [rule], and it seems to ward off the right folks and attract the right folks, too," wrote one staff member. The teams enjoy perks such as a cellphone-reimbursement program, annual profit-sharing program and free parking.
