Seeking replacement
The festival is recruiting a new CEO, who will report to Terry Savage, the Cannes Lion's executive chairman, according to the statement. Mr. Savage served as festival CEO since March 2003 and was promoted to his current post after Emap Communications purchased the business from entrepreneur Roger Hatchuel in August 2004.

Agency veteran
Named the festival's CEO in December 2005, Ms. Reid began in January of this year. Ms. Reid had been chairwoman of Omnicom Group's Tequila London, one of the U.K.'s largest direct-marketing agencies. Ms. Reid's resume also includes a stint at Bates Dorland, where she headed the Halifax bank account, a substantial piece of business for the agency. In addition, she spent 12 years at BMP DDB, running the Barclaycard account.

The 53rd annual International Advertising Festival was held last month from June 18-24 in the south of France.
