CANNES (AdAge.com) -- As they have been for years, the mother and daughter entertainment team fondly known as the 'Leopard Ladies' was on hand in front of the Palais for photo ops and to greet this year's Cannes guests.
Microsoft's has had a strong presence at this year's festival.
Cannes Debate panel, the theme of which this year was, 'Now or Never: Reinventing the Agency Model.' The panelists were David Droga, founder-creative chairman, Droga 5; Daniel Morel, chairman-CEO, Wunderman; Andrew Robertson, president-CEO, BBDO Worldwide; and Jeff Goodby, co-chairman, Goodby, Silverstein & Partners.
Ad Age publisher Scott Donaton moderated the panel.
David Droga took part in the Cannes debate. "I'm not trying to change the advertising industry," he said, "I'm just trying to change my advertising world."
Al Gore's popular Friday-afternoon seminar " Y&R and Al Gore Discuss a Climate in Crisis," in which the former vice president discussed the role the ad industry can take in bringing about change, highlighted a growing emphasis on social responsibility.
