Tania Alexander is the executive producer behind "Gogglebox," the unlikely hit show that features real people watching TV from the comfort of their own homes. Now in its sixth season in the U.K., "Gogglebox" runs in 36 territories.
The show has become part of British popular culture -- its real-people cast typically become celebrities who in turn attract attention of marketers. "It's been a game-changer -- the kind of show that only comes along once in a while," Ms. Alexander said. "Its strength lies in its comedy, and our genius weapon is in the casting."
Currently she is casting two big new projects -- one for a major U.S. network and the other in the U.K. Ms. Alexander, who admits she has a "puerile" sense of humor and is "obsessed with sitcoms," said, "My creativity is fueled by my passion. If I have enough belief, the rest falls into place. I love fast turnaround, ridiculously ambitious projects."
