Don't Mess with Texas

Published on .

A natural extension of the Jersey Boys' "How Ya Doin'?" campaign, this spot supplies an earnest greenhorn to answer the rhetorical question. "How ya doin'?" the bartender says to the newcomer. "I'm doin' fine!" he answers. "Thanks for asking! Just got in, my brother-in-law picked me up at the airport, mighty big airport you got here . . ." The crew drifts in, asking the usual question, which gets the same sincere spiel, eliciting pained Tony Soprano-in-therapy looks.
