GM's top ad exec: No plans to retire

[detroit] General Motors Corp.'s top advertising executive, John Middlebrook, said he has no plans to retire, denying a report in the Aug. 20 issue of Advertising Age. Mr. Middlebrook, 60, VP-general manager of GM advertising and corporate marketing as well as general manager of vehicle brand marketing in North America, has been with the automaker since 1959.
