Magazine editors were still in love with Jennifer Aniston in September, with the newly wed actress topping the newsstand popularity poll for the second straight month. The "Friends" star made seven covers, including People's and Us Weekly's best-dressed theme issues, as well as Ladies' Home Journal. Many of her covers were in conjunction with new husband, Brad Pitt, who snared 4 points in a four-way tie for fourth place.

Second place belonged to "Charlie's Angels" star Drew Barrymore, with 6 points; her co-stars Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu were in ties for fourth and ninth, respectively. "Survivor" champion Richard Hatch stretched his fame another month with third place, and 4.5 points. Defunct couple Ellen DeGeneres and Anne Heche also tied for fourth. Talk show titan Oprah Winfrey grabbed eighth place with 3.5 points. Ninth place drew 15 contenders with 3 points apiece, including Cindy Crawford and Keanu Reeves.M
