The top talents of the Dutch photography community gathered on March 30 at the Panama Club in Amsterdam for the 14th annual awards show sponsored by the PANL, the Photographers Assocation of the Netherlands, which was founded in 1989 to promote the work of advertising, fashion and editorial photographers from Holland. The event is open to all photographers living or working in the Netherlands. The international jury, comprised of professional photographers, photo agents and members of the advertising industry, reviewed 831 entries in 11 categories and awarded two Gold and five Silver honors, with the PANL award (Best of Show) going to Kevin van der Brug, for his noncommissioned portrait series of native Dutch Muslim women. Other entries seen here include Silver winners from Aernout Overbeeke, Maurice Heesen, and Arjan Benning; and Merit-honored work from Kitty Krone.
