Why It Won: It's no surprise that North has gained attention from brands like Peet's Coffee & Tea and Columbia Sportswear, because the agency likes to walk the walk when it comes to corporate culture. North gives production-partnership priority to local small businesses (especially women- or minority-owned ones), believes in financial transparency for its employees and offers them one week of paid volunteer time on top of four weeks' vacation.

The Work: The agency produced a series of binge-worthy videos for Columbia Sportswear that chronicled interviews of wannabe "Directors of Toughness" for the brand, sending them on elaborate hikes, kayak trips and more.
