New York-based Circus Maximus, a shop with six full-time employees, was the collective brain behind a b-to-b campaign for Justworks, a company that handles benefits, compliance, human relations and payroll for other businesses. Circus Maximus co-created the brand's strong voice around the mantra "Work fearlessly." "Everything has been a proof point about how their innovation helps entrepreneurs and small businesses work fearlessly without all of those haunting details," said Ryan Kutscher, founder and chief creative officer of Circus Maximus. The agency had gross revenue of more than $2 million last year, and other clients include Coca-Cola, Smartwater, Vitaminwater, Jet.com and Telefónica.
